PR applicant on closed work permit

I applied for PR this past April under fsw with job offer. I am currently in canada on closed work permit expiring dec 2014. Can I apply to remove conditions on work permit/ open work permit or is that only possible when the closed work permit is about to expire? I have already received a positive eligibility review on my application.

Yes you can.
Apply to change conditions or extend stay in Canada as a worker. (Is the packaged you need.)
