Hi everyone,

A couple questions regarding PPR if anyone has personal experience:

1 - If I am out of my country of residence for an extended period of time when I receive the PPR, can I send and receive passport from/in the other country, or do I need to be in the country from which I applied?

2 - If I specify on the PPR for my passport to be returned to a family member in another country, will the courier company oblige, or can it only be returned to the passport holder?

Any views will be highly appreciated.

As per my understanding and experience ( I sent our PPs for return by courier and got back within 10 days ) you can send your PP to the visa office upon PPR by courier (better Aramex) who can arrange an international return. You have to ask the courier to give the 'return envelope' together with their awb form so that you can fillup your return address on that. While submitting the PP, make a note on the covering letter that "Return International air way bill for ( name of courier) is enclosed. The visa office will return the PP in that envelope to the addressee. I think you can write any relatives name instead of your name ( I am not sure ). However, you can get your PP to the location where you are by doing this method.

For PPR, can I submit my passport over the counter at CHC Singapore, and receive it back over the counter? Thanks

Hi,

It is up to the Visa processing office. You have to ask the Singapore office whether they accept the PP and deliver it over the counter.
