Again, you don't know. I suggest you refrain from stating your personal experience as fact. A VO can request a medical extension within 15 months of the medical being done, i.e. a medical that has already been expired for 3 months can still be extended at the request of the VO and with the approval of a medical officer.
Hi @canuck_in_uk
Can you please advise on my situation.

After almost 10.5 months since Aor I have got medical request for me,my spouse and my stepson(he is non-accompanying due to no custody with us and we have already submitted documents relating to divorce, custody along with notarised declaration).

My query is the med panel team is saying as my meds are valid till March 20 they will not redo medical. Instead they can write to ircc that my meds are valid along with references.

I am yet to confirm on this to them. Do you think this is the right approach.can ndvo not extend the meds in this situation. Also for my stepson I will be again writing loe and make reference to the already provided documents.
Is this the right approach.

Hi

Medicals are not always extended, especially when the people are living in a risk country. It may be that IRCC figures your app will be completed right at the he expiry, so the they have requested them now.

I believe the Panel Physician's office should be able to see the new medical request in the e-medical system.

Hello,
I am from Pakistan and I have applied for my student visa on paper thru Karachi VFS on 12/06/2018
This is my 3rd attempt.
I did my upfront medicals last year in july 2017 and used the same medical examination proof in my 3rd attempt in June 2018.
The vfs also accepted the same without asking me to redo medicals.
Now since my medicals is valid for 1 year, it expired in July 2018.
I got new medical request on 16th Aug 2018 and got appointment for the same on 21st Aug.
My concerns are:
Is this normal for student visa application?
My classes start on 4th Sep 2018, so what are the chances of getting the visa approved before that since there is very less time remaining?
Before getting my new medical request in my a/c , I received message from CIC: "Your application is pending the results of your medical tests. Please note that medical results are valid for one year."
Does this mean that my decision is pending ONLY due to the expiration of my previous medical results?
Once I submit my new medical results, will I get my visa approved?

Hi, dears

I have received a message from CIC to re do the medical test. My AOR is Feb, 2017. What does this mean? They just realized my medical has expired or they are ready to issue PPR? I would really appreciate if anyone can share some knowledge or experience? Thanks in advance!

Hi all, my medicals are set to expire early March. However last week i got PPR. Hoping to submit this week.

Any ideas whether they will expect me to fly before the medicals (Which is in 2.5 weeks), or they will ask to remedical?

They will likely just extend it.
