Guys I did my landing on 10 sep, I got Pr under pnp Ontario foreign worker stream. As I get my PR I can quit my job??
Experts please advise?
I don’t want to change the province but want to change my employer, can I do that right away or should wait for some time?

Hi guys I owe this to you all. Good luck and best wishes!
May 15, 2018 - Medical
Feb 27, 2019 - PPR
March 6, 2019 - Passport sent
April 2, 2019 - COPR received (for my Mom, main applicant and already in Canada)
May 3, 2019 - follow up photo picture sent for ppr
May 21, 2019 - redo medical because it has expired.
July 26, 2019 - COPR and visa (for us, the dependents here at Manila)

I didn’t apply, and I think the first-time card would be just automatically generated and mailed to a Canadian address after landing. I haven’t received it yet. Last time I called was on Sept 4 (2 days after landing), the agent said I should expect it to be sent/received (can’t recall which word) around Sept 16, as she referred that the recent processing time for PR cards is 12 days.
hi
I do have some questions here and appreciate if any of you could share more info to help me to plan my landing - as we will only move after some time- so we will plan a soft landing 1st.

in the IRCC website, under 'Check processing times' - if I choose 'PR card' and then 'no , i am waiting my 1st PR card' ---- the result shows 14 days...

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...vices/application/check-processing-times.html

Does that mean I should plan to stay in Canada for 14 days ( real days or business days?) and then I should receive the PR card?

What if I plan to stopover in Canada first to do the landing and then head to US? I could come back in 14 days as well.....

No, I don’t think you have to be here until you got the card (but they suggest). My roommate’s friend living in the US backed to the US after landing. He provided our Canadian home address as his mailing address when the officer asked him, and we received his PR card last week. And then my roommate fedexed it to him and he got on the next day.

You could do the same thing, but just make sure you have a Canadian address to receive the card and a way to deliver it to you afterwards.

If not, I only know you could drive to enter Canada by showing your landing paper (NOT AIRPLANE or TRAVEL BUS!!!).

How do you contact CIC from outside canada, the number that I used to call before that is 613-944-4000 is not connecting me to CIC anymore?

hi
I received my COPR today- but I don't see any stamp on my passport- is it because I am from the country with visa exempt?

so I guess there is no problem when you leave Canada after landing , right? will airport custom check anything?
