We're not at this stage yet (hopefully close to it...) but I'd like to know:

I know when the PA is from a visa exempt country, they only ask for a copy of the passport bio page and to physically send the passport if you're from a country which requires visa.

What if the PA already has a valid TRV (for multiple years), do they still ask for the passport or just the copy?

From what I have seen, they still ask for the passport. You will know for sure if your order your notes. There is a field that says "counterfoil required". In our case, my TRV expires this year. In my notes, counterfoil is set to required (set to yes). Maybe if you have it valid for more than 2 years they will not ask it? but if I had to give you an answer I would say they do this by nationality rather than by status and they will still ask for the passport.

If you do order your notes, update this thread when you find out! (only order your notes after your file has been transferred to the VO or else you won't even be able to see this info)

How long do they tipically give us to send the passport?

As the time they keep it seems to vary a lot from one applicant to the other, we're kind of trying to plan our summer vacations around that...

It depends. It could be from 3 days for urgent cases to 30 days for usual ones.
