Hey all,
Well it was a few days more than 6 months but our PPR came today (CEC, Inland).

I'm getting the stuff together, but there's no 'requirements' for what size express entry envelope to send, What have ya'll sent in the past and have you had any problems?

Also, I'd obviously like to send it express as well, any suggestion for the best canada post product to use?

My last question, is confirmation of PR our Cards or some sort of letter / certificate?

Thanks all! good luck if you're still on the journey behind us, the wait is worth it!

Just purchase two (2) PREPAID Canada Post Xpresspost envelopes (National), letter-sized (318 x 241 mm), at Canada Post.

Usually, takes about 10-15 working days to receive visa and COPR(letter of confirmation of permanent resident).

Congrats for PPR

They will send you the cards after you land.

Did you get your PPR today?

Are you currently living in Canada?

You will use COPR and passport for landing process, that's means you won't do anything for applying PR card, the officer will do everything for you.

Good luck

@stubish, I just followed the same thing I did for TRV stamping at Ottawa earlier. http://www.cic.gc.ca/submit-envoyer/offices-bureaux-eng.asp#C. Of course the address and instructions are different for PR.

BTW - the COPR is a very important document. That is your only proof of PR status during the long wait for the PR card. Also, if you decide to apply for citizenship down the road, you will be asked to provide the COPR then too. So once you get it, keep it safe.

FYI, I just spoke to a friend who received a PR through CEC as well (LMIA supported) 4 months ago, apparently the PR card process is automated now. Once you send the letter you receive the copr first and then the cards follow.

Thanks all!

@stubish:

Yes, I think so this is the new procedure. I was looking at this link and it reflects the info which your friend has gone through. cic.gc.ca/english/information/pr-card/apply-how

BTW, I received my PPR on September 9th and have sent my passport to the Ottawa office on September 12, hoping to get my COPR soon.
