PPR received but Travel coming

Hi,

Kind of in a dilemma, i got my PPR last Wednesday .. where i need to submit passport by 9 Sep 2017. I do have an International travel coming up around the same dates.
I wanted to know if someone had an experience for extending these dates for passport submission?

Also, if you have any idea of Turnaround time by VFS in India for PPR?

Do you know the process for getting this timeline extended. Considering that I will be able to get it processes only post my travel has completed and i have landed back in India.
