Hey, just a quick question.
I applied on jan 24th, 2017 ( spousal sponsorship from Paris). Today, March 1st, 2017, they are asking for RPRF. Does that mean they approved the application & will ask for passeport to stamp the visa???

could be, but its impossible to say....you have to pay the application fees..but assuming if you had a straight forward applicantion, good news might be soon to follow...

Did you not pay this up front? Based on that you probably are just now being processed. I'd say if your application is straightforward 4-6 months like usual. Have you linked your application to MyCIC? You can view all updates there. You're not quite at the passport stage yet, thats the final step before they mail you the COPR.

To give you an idea, mine was received on 1/4 and AOR on 1/19, now my background check is already in progress. That's less than 2 months and I'd estimate I have 2-3 more months from this point to actually moving.

What's a COPR &AOR PLZ

AOR is Adknowledgement of Reciept, letting you know they recieived your application. COPR is Confirmation of Perminate Resisdence. This is a letter they send to you when you are approved and you'll use this to enter Canada, get credit, etc. This is used until your PR card actually comes in the mail after you land.

Try to go to this website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/account.asp

Create a CGKey and attempt to link your application. If you need more tips on trying to link many people (myself included) have used this method with the best results:

Family Class > Outland (or Inland if this applies to you) > Spousal Sponsorship >

Then for the linking itself try and use the Last Name/Date of Birth/Passport option. Input your information (the principle applicant), then for the dependents I used 2 (myself and my spouse), if you have any children or other dependents this number may be different for you. Input DOB, City of Birth, then I skipped passport information and didn't put anything in those boxes. I put my City and Province I plan to live in (same as the one you put on the application itself). Hit enter and best wishes!

Thanx for the reply. & will link the application

One thing to keep in mind is some people found that actually entering Place of Birth didn’t work – try just hitting the spacebar once and leaving it blank, so just one space but otherwise empty. Good luck!

How do you receive the PPR? My application has said DM on Ecas for over a week and we haven't heard anything. Just wondering what I should be expecting to happen now?

it is sent to the applicant by email. it is believed they are sent in batches with some people waiting 2-3 weeks for the ppr email, so the wait you are experiencing is normal. the us applicant thread will have posts about how long people waited for it.
