I guess you all figured out the pre-paid envelope issue? It's pretty simple to do. Not sure what the person you talked to was smoking. They probably took the envelope thing too literally.

Well I never actually figured it out. Since technically I couldn't send a prepaid envelope. I could only send a waybill with my credit card info for them to charge me once they mail it. Hopefully this doesn't cause an issue. I had no idea what I was doing and fed ex wasn't very helpful.

So far the final step has been a headache. We finally found a place to do the photos now we are trying to send our PPR with the prepaid label. FedEx said customs won't allow us to send a prepaid label in the envelope. We tried printing a different label from their computer but nothing would work. I have no idea what to do? Should we try UPS? Does fedex not know what they are talking about?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hello friends, we have received the COPR in our mail today..hoping to land this sunday...have a great day and good luck to all of you :)

Hi Guys,

A few questions-

1) Most shipping companies require telephone # of the recipient. What did you enter for that?
2) I was reading about Fedex not allowing prepaid labels inside the envelope? Is this confirmed?
3) What $ value did you put in declaration?
4) Anything special to specify to Fedex or any other carrier in terms of sending a passport?

I'm sorry, I know this is mostly a resolved issue for a lot of you, but:

Can someone run me through the prepaid envelope? I have a us mailing address and was trying to send out my documents to canada yesterday but the USPS, UPS, and fedex all said they can't do international prepaid envelopes. What am I missing?

If I did the snail mail thing, the stamps would be us stamps?

Explain to me like I'm 5, pleas. If this is really a simple thing to do, then all the couriers I've talked to know nothing about their own business.

Hi There,

1) we didn't put any phone number in the recipient section and it worked for us. CPC Ottawa doesn't have a telephone number that i know of.

2) When sending Fedex document from US to Canada. You can send it from any fedex location but when returning you must print the return label from your computer, the do not print return label in the US. Or, you can Use international Fedex Waybill for the retuning your package to you. in that case the sender would be CPC Ottawa and the recipient would be you. and you put that waybill into the return envolope. you can find the waybill in any fedex location.
Note - You'll need to provide your credit card information in the waybill and they'll charge the credit card.

3) we put $0 and in the custom declaration we put Passport (side note - to CPC- Ottawa for Visa)

4 - Can't say about another carrier but we didn't have any issiue with Fedex.

Hope this helps
