PPR for US citizen child. PLEAZSEEE help. Nairobi delays

Dear Everyone, this is an absolutely wonderful forum....

I have a q. I applied to the Nairobi office in Jan. 2004 for Skilled worker. LOOOOOOng delays but got passprt request May 2007. Then they had forgotten to send my US born child's medical forms, so they sent that on October, we sent it back completed in November 2007. They asked fo rhis medicals, but not his passport. huh!?? Could that be because she is a US citizen or will they ask for that later?! Can my daughter enter Canada without PR stamp because she is a US citizen? My medicals (and my wife's) done in May 2007 are bout to expire. What do we do, we are at the end of our patience with Nairobi...

I would advise you continue writing to them, constant communications helps. Please do email them and then also send them a letter on recorded delivery about your concerns. I cant imagine doing medicals again.

The expiration date of medical and visa are normally close to each other. Once the CIC requested for medical, within 1 year after you took the medical, you should be landing in Canada or else all your time and effort applying for PR will be wasted.

First, If you did your medicals in May 2007 and this is August 2008 then it is probably expired (Medicals are valid for one year) ...Clarify this
Second, When you say they asked for your daughter's medical without PP, have they asked for your pp already? That is confusing, he is supposed to do medical first b/4 pp request
third, Yes your daughter can enter Canada for 30 days without a visa but that is not a basis for not getting a PR
My daughter is a US citizen and she also has her PR
I would suggest you contact them and keep contacting them for a response on two things
1. The expiration of your medicals if you have not got pp yet
2. Update on your daughter's medical
