Hi,

Yes I have a passport from a visa-exempt country and just received my CoPR. I had sent in, as requested, a scanned copy of all the pages (identity page and any stamped pages of my passport) and two photographs. CIC keep one photograph and stick the other back on the CoPR that they return to you. You take the CoPR and your passport to a port of entry to activate your PR.

Good luck!
How did you send it? Through online portal or replying to the email sent to you?

You can send things from wherever you want.
Brazil is a country that is vida exempt in special cases.

In my case, I travel using ETA and I have a Brazilian passport.
Today I received PPR email. Can I send only the photocopy of the passport?

I would assume so but given the special rules regarding TRVs/eTAs for Brazilians, I can't say for sure.

Good day do they return this to you by mail or digitally?

I need some help

I recently received a passport request letter from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) regarding my Permanent Residence application. However, as a Bahamian citizen with an approved Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), I am exempt from submitting my original passport and have been instructed to provide only a photocopy of the passport photo page along with other required documents.

I understand that applicants submitting their original passports must pay the VAC Passport Transmission Fee, but my situation is slightly different. Therefore, I would like to confirm whether I am still required to pay this fee even though my package will not include an original passport and does not need to be returned to me.
