I just got PPR, so for the documents required I need to send out the Ready for Visa email along with my passport, photos and an envelope, is that correct?

Hello all!
We were sent an email asking for our passports/copies of our passports to be sent to Ottowa. I sent our passports but am now worried that I should have just sent photocopies of our passports? We are both from the UK and it said we needed an eTA so I took that as that we are NOT visa exempt and therefore had to send our passports. I am now worried I read this wrong?
Any advice to put my mind at rest would be very much appreciated.

Pretty sure the UK is a visa exempt country - hence why we need an eTA instead of a visa, sorry :'(

UK is visa exempt and you should have only sent the photocopy of your passport first page, but what's done is done, just wait and see what will happen.
