So the travel restrictions (discretionary) have been extended till Jan 21 2020

At first, I thought it is Canada-US border restriction extension, but nooo it is rest of the world! My god! It is clear quarter 1 of 2021 restrictions won't be lifted. This is insane. Why they are not considering PR outland applicants as the travel is very essential.

It is clear they are waiting for the vaccine.

This is what am unable to understand what happens to COPR holders, expired COPRs, those with approved applications, those with pending final decisions etc from both 2019 and 2020. Maybe some more exemptions coming ?

As far as the vaccine is concerned, here goes https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/coron...o-immunize-majority-by-september-pm-1.5207122

Received an email.. 'We are still working on your application', is this a Ghost update?

I am not able to login to my account though.
I received the same. I think the email is system generated amd its just a reassurance that they are working on our files. Didn't try to login though.

Hi everyone! I am facing a critical decision to make that solely depends on the situation with Canada's borders. If Canada's government doesn't change course and keeps following the same policies it has pursued in the last nine months, assuming a gradual vaccine rollout by the end of Spring, when do you believe would be most likely the earliest data that Canada starts letting in new PR immigrants?

To be honest all we can do is hope for some exemptions for immigrants in the coming months and for things to get better. But no one would know the actual dates.
As far as the vaccine rollout is concerned, please see this - https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/coron...o-immunize-majority-by-september-pm-1.5207122
