PPR delays due to covid-19

PPRs UPDATE: NDVO, AUSTRALIA & USA

IRCC offices in US and Australia have started issuing PPRs from July 28, 2020. Moreover, so many applicants have reported ghost updates yesterday from NDVO as well.

This confirms that IRCC is all set to resume the processing of permanent residence applications. We can hope to see VFS centres to be opened soon. Also, the next draw will be back to FSW, 99% most likely.

For people in the region of MENA... looks like many VFS center are opening by next week ( even though limited services)

I can see real chances PPR will come in that region by early Augst.

Specifically for Outland ( Indian) applicants ,I feel we'll start getting PPR's once the Canadian VAC in india resumes it's services.

It seems like they are going to allow international students in the coming month in Canada , what about permanent residents who are approved after March 18 but didn’t get ppr request ? These people are neglecting Outland applicants it’s frustrating

The whole credit goes to students, they chased IRCC on twitter daily like hell. In-fact I saw in couple of cases IRCC responded them too. However, there were very few people (FSW-O) raising their concern about their application and showing eagerness. Unless you don't demand on social media you will not be considered in these tough times. I questioned them every day as I'm too waiting since 11 months now.

I’ve been doing the same but in vain , no response am literally tired let’s see what Trudeau has to say tomorrow about the travel ban , my whole life is on hold

We are in the same boat... My AOR is dec 10 and processing completed on 10th June.. and still under process... I have ordered GCMS notes and they say:

Medical : Pass
Criminality: Pass
Security: Not started

I guess its logical for Canada to think about students in this manner. Reason being most of the Canada's college curriculum of Spring'20 shifted to Fall'20 starting from September. They cannot afford to simply face world-wide backlash for blocking international students and which is one of the backbone of its economy. Also, the virus controlling measures are bearing fruit quite remarkably. Hopefully, next in line are non-US Outlanders.
