I am in the same boat. Got PPR on 7th November. My wife's medicals are expired and there is no response on queries. How long until your medicals? Have they extended them?

Also, I get no response from VFS after I provided the details like my address for courier service etc. Did you get a response/link to make payment for the courier service? There is no estimate as to when the pickup will be arranged.

Warm Regards,
Ajay Kalra
No they haven't extended my medical, it will expire in Feb. I replied them with all my details and they replied saying Bluedart is not serviceable in your area on desired date, email us back 1 day prior, sent and email again yesterday but no reply.

No news for PR applicants.. I think we still need to wait
It does state this , "Submission of passport upon receipt of passport request letter from IRCC (via post/courier only) Submission of passport in person at the VAC is not permitted until further notice. "

When IRCC itself is not sending out PPR's , how can we possibly complaint.

true.. however, I seriously feel like complaining :(
it seems to me that PPRs are being issued at a much slower rate in India...
maybe it's bcoz of our COVID cases...
however, after all these months there was just some good news on 7th Nov...
and then nothing.

I guess the scenario is teaching us all to be patient..

Hello everyone,

We received PPR last week (Nov. 12) and sent out passports to Canada. Our medicals expire today (November 20, 20). We didn't receive our passports back yet but our online profile changed to application approved and now there are counterfoil numbers attached to our names valid from 11/20/2020 and it says that the document expire on 09/29/2121 so I am assuming that they have extended out medicals until that date. Even though under medicals it doesn't show the extended date yet but that is what it looks like. They probably gave us a 9 month extension on medicals. Is that an assumption that I can make? Anyone in the same situation?

Good luck on your process. Hopefully it will be finalized soon.

I guess it should be a reasonable assumption. However, is medical expiry date still relevant if you know the COPR expiry date?

Hi,
I guess you are right. I didn’t think about it that way. I was just worried about having to re-do medicals.
Thanks

I had a similar experience. My medicals expired on 21st of May but they have been extended to 15th April 2021.
