PPR arriving soon but outside Canada

I am sure this question must have been asked a million times in this forum but would appreciate if someone can answer the question again ;D

I am expecting my PPR soon but I am currently outside India. Is there a way I can send my passport to Ottawa since I believe they dont mail the passport outside Canada. There is 1 option I could think of:

• Send my passport to my friend in Canada along with the use of a representative form. And then ask him to mail the passport (along with his self addressed envelope) to Detroit/Windsor.
  

Can some one please let me know if this possible? If there are any other options, please suggest.

That is absolutely possible, there is also an option for ur representative to walkin and get visa stamped if it is Detroit office

Nowadays, people are getting visa stamped in person and also doing landing on same day, why don't you think of that option?
