Hi, just a little question that I'm a bit concerned with.

Is the Power of Attorney given to HR Block for tax returns any "dangerous"?

I've signed it, read everything and it doesn't look like I might suffer because of that...

Is there anything I should know in this case?

I'd appreciate any responses in my thread.

Actually after reading more, my question would be: is it any dangerous to "sell" my tax to HR Block in order to get a cashback?

Is there anything I should consider except the fact that I pay HR Block some percentage of my tax return?

All you are doing with HR Block or any other tax consultant is to file tax on your behalf. The next time you login to CRA you would see the authorized tax consultants ( that you have authorized) to contact CRA on your behalf.
You are not getting a cashback, but rather a tax refund which will be credit to your account directly. Some times HR block has offers that you would be given an advance. For example 1000$ in advance while they would take it out of your tax refund before giving you the balance.
And yes, they charge you for it.
