Hello,

I live in Saudi Arabia, I just received a multiple Visa (Temporary Residence Permit) to visit Canada, valid for 2 years (until January 2015). My initial travel plan for the first visit to Canada was to visit from Feb 15th until Feb 26th (12 Days), but I have some circumstances that is forcing me to postpone it until April from April 3rd until April 27th (25 Days). I have the following questions:

1. Do I have to notify the embassy or any canadian authority of this change in travel date?
2. If I do not notify any entity, and travel in April, will this change in travel date be a reason for the boarder officer to reject my entry/any future entries?
3. If I do not notify any entity, will this change in visit duration (25 Days) be a reason for the boarder officer to reject my entry/any future entries?

** Note that the change is still within the 2 years validity period.

Regards,

From my understanding is that you can do whatever you within the allowable time period, which is the 2 yrs.

May I ask when did you apply for the visa and how long it took? Which visa office?

Thanks for your reply, it took around 1 month to issue, Riyadh.

How can I get a definite answer? Did anyone ever pass through the same?

You can enter to Canada anytime within the validity of you visa, you can change your travel plan as often you like. At the point of entry, the officer will ask you some question, eg. how long you will stay and where do you stay. Make sure you have return ticket and hotel confirmation (if you stay in hotel) or reltives/friends address & tel if you live them temporary.

Don't worry your fine, you dont have to inform the embassy. Welcome to canada
