Hello,
My hearing was scheduled for today but was then rescheduled last minute to September.. the excuse they gave us was that the board member who was assigned the case is not available??!!

Is this the case with alot of people?
On last minute.

No I have never heard about it they aways infrom at least 2 or 3 days before. It must be an emergency then

My friend’s hearing was last Monday and once he got to the court along with his lawyer, they got a call saying the judge was not available. They had to go back empty-handed. No new hearing date has been scheduled yet. Be patient and things will go fine soon.

Hello members,

This thread has been quite since last 10 days.

Does anybody receive hearing date so far?

I applied in July 2018 so it's been a year already, I hope to hear about the hearing date at anytime soon or maybe at end of this year.

My lawyer ask me to wait till 2020 but he thinks it's going come in this year as in Montreal office IRB have lots of claims from Haiti origins and IRB doesn't have many interpreters for them so we will jump up in the queue.

There is no real way to tell but likely you will get a hearing this year.

I have been to Canlii.org website, where you can see IRB decisions but it is very confusing because some very serious claims have been rejected even though with not valid reason and I don't know how I can predict for my case. I have all evidences about what I wrote in BOC story.

I don't know what measures board member consider before accepting the claim.

Can anyone explain what board member thinks and what want to see in the claim except credibility.

Hello everyone,
I landed in Canada on 23 dec 2017 with my wife and we got our hearing on 1 may 2019.
we received a negative result. In decision it was written that everything was ok even the police report which we submitted as a evidence was true , the only reason of refusal was that why we didn’t said the whole story on POE ( point of entry) as we did in our BOC , it was not like the whole story was changed not at all! we just explained everything in our BOC , the board member was very rude with us!
Now we have submitted appeal and waiting for the results from RAD.
Any idea what are the chances for appeal to get accepted or any help, information will be appreciated.
Thanks

I think
It all depends on on your BOC and the way you explain it to them.. the evidence is support the more strong it is more strong the case is.. but its my own personal thoughts. you can

She had no issues with the BOC or my evidence or my story she even mentioned that everything else is ok but it was not fully explained on POE
Pakistan
She was rude once she sat on the chair and i guess she couldn’t find anything else to refuse us for so she picked this point
