hello to everyone ! My wife just received a letter 28th dec 2009 about her passport and NSO marriage certificate and some other docs yesterday.Next week my wife will send it to manila visa office. Guys let us keep in touch and help one another. I'm hoping that our applications will be approved.

congratulations, martjacob! great holiday news!

hi... we also sent our application last September 2009.. Here's our timeline:

September 11 - Documents received by CPC-M
October 5 - Started processing our application
October 13 - Letter was received for sponsorship approval
October 26 - Documents received by manila embassy
Present - IN PROCESS

Our concern here is we haven't received any letter for the passport request.. By now, Manila Visa Office should have sent it.. I don't know what's going on.. Iv read in the previous threads that most of the application sent to Manila Visa office since aug., already received the letter and are now waiting for their visa... Any chances i can contact them asking about our status? Im just sad on how things are done in the Manila Office. They know many are waiting for their visa to be with their families/loved ones. I have a friend whose application was only approved in just 4 months. Talk about their luck... *sigh* thanks for any inputs shared.. c",)

nanan-bing we have almost the same time line .I send mine september too and now my wife in the philippines received a letter to send her passport and other documents . You should receive yours too. Maybe there's a mistake on the address or discrepencies on your paper work. You should send them an email or try CAIPS NOTES. They can tell you whats going on with your application.

wat ar CAIPS NOTES? where could i find them? can i try calling dem or just send them email?

CAIPS is short for 'Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System'. It is the computer system used by Citizenship & Immigration Canada to process visa applications, and holds all the information on the current status of every immigration application being processed by overseas offices (i.e. those outside of Canada).

complete info you can find here:

Re: Application received CPC-Mississauga on Jan.4, 2010.

Hi
Here are my application status. Its showing still IN-PROCESS since CIC started processing on Jan.22, 2010 and i did not get any letter. Can anybody tell me how long they will take and what can be the possible reason. What are they doing during this time. Can they take more than the processing time of 37 days posted on CIC website? Thanks

Hi guys,

Im new to this thread but i have sent my application by this time. Im reading all your status and im glad you guys have received your papers. However, im wondering why mine is taking quite a long time...
Here's the details..

App received(CPC-M) Sept 18 2009
CPC-M started processing the app Oct 8 2009
Decision Made Oct 9, 2009

PR App(Buffalo) started processing October 28, 2009
still waiting. . . .as of now..

I hope theres nothing wrong with the application as it is taking quite long.
Is there any other way to check the status of the PR application beside the website?
I tried calling the call center but disappointed to only hear the automated machines. . .

anyways, im glad to be a part of this thread!
