Postdoctoral Job offer but proof of funds required by IRCC

Hello All,

I need guidance regarding my work permit application. Actually, I have applied for a temporary work permit as I am going to pursue my postdoc in Montreal. I have also applied for the open work permit of my wife and the study permit of my 3 yr old son, they will accompany me during my stay in Canada. My application is under process and IRCC has recently requested me to provide proof of funds. I am not sure what they actually mean, as this was never asked during the application submission because I have a job offer from the University with my annual salary details. In the present scenario, how can I address this matter?
I am confused at the moment. Should I write a LoE and mention that I don't require proof of funds as I have a job offer. OR is it really required to show some specific funds in my bank account?
I am badly in need of suggestions at the moment to avoid further complications. Looking forward for the responses. Thanks so much!

I would not be optimistic about receiving a reply. The OP joined the forum in April 2021 and made only one post. They are shown as "last seen" in May 2021. Not too likely they will return here to answer your question.
