Have you been working with them for at least one full year? Are you on a closed work permit where your employer is listed on the work permit? Are they willing to issue you a letter stating that they are offering you a permanent job offer and that the job will be yours for at least one year after you become a PR? If so, then yes.

I just started this position a month ago. I’m on a post graduate work permit which is an open work permit. The contract is for one year from oct 2019 to Oct 2020

In that case you need an approved LMIA to get the 50 job offer points under EE.

Hi, I have a same question? I started my postdoc on 22 July 2022 and I had closed work permit for that till 22 June 2023 after that I got an open work permit but my contract is valid 23 January 2024 and I can extend it too. Can I apply for job offer with these conditions?

What does it mean? Approved LMIA, post doc is lmia exemption but when I started my position they gave me a lmia
