Post medical re-assessment time

Hi

A new operational bulletin has been effective since first June. It allows the immigration office who is handling your case to request a medical re-assessment for the expired medical certificate if the decision of that officer is pending only due to the expiration of the medical result or the applicant is unable to land before it. If anything else is not complete the officer can not request it.

I have my IO requested it for almost three weeks ago and i have heard back from him since then. I sent an inquiry email three days ago asking what is taking that long and nothing is replied yet.

Anyone in this category or has been there or has an idea can post this thread regarding his/her experience.

It seems that its just you and me who are interested in this. Were your passport requested Lasiar as per your timeline specification prior the medical extension request? Its almost three weeks and you have not heard back from your immigration officer right? Fingers crossed, We will hear something soon.

Yes pass port requested on may 16th, they had it may 22nd.. for a landing date of June 13. is what they said.. June 7th they called and said medical extension request would be sent to Ottawa and should take another 2-3 weeks to process.. it has been 2weeks heading into week three.. Fingers crossed for us both.

Me too. I think our immigration officer has set a bring forward date to 30th of june which is the date the file will next be looked at by the officer. That is just my thought. You dont need to worry Lasiar. You have already sent in your passport and was told it would get returned within three weeks. Hope you hear some soon in this week. I dont know what happened to mine. I think the officer has gone on vacation and the file is sitting on his desk..

Hi Yasiin, still haven't heard anything yet, I know I'm being impatient, but when you have already waited long and its so close seems to make me more anxious for it.. I did call my MP office yesterday and she is going to look into it for me. Will be calling me back today, I have had her help me in the last few months which really did seem to get the ball rolling.. I will let you know what I find out. How about you anything?

HIYA muffy... Oh I hope so for you too. I fear I have nothing left to cross for luck. lol.. that and no fingernails left either.. It will be so nice when we can be with our loves.. Ill be back when I hear from my MP sometime today hopefully. let me know when you hear something as well.

I have got a letter from London office yesterday requesting for more medical exam, a chest X-ray, which i find it funny and i did it today. The later i receive states that the decision can not be made unless the requested medicals is received so i am hoping it will get there on Friday plus two further weeks for the processing. Gonna get something back at the end of July if everything is in order. The good thing is when the officer requested for the medical reassassment it only took two weeks for them to reach the decision of asking for further medical. I am telling you this because i know how stressful it is not to know the processing time for the new bulletin and to wait for the final touch as you are only waiting for your ppr right now you will hear some in this week. I wish they will not ask u for additional medical exam. Dont eat up all your fingers and nail. Have some left to eat up later in case it delays which i am hoping it wont. Fingers crossed for you and me.

Thanks Yasiin, for letting me know how its going for you.. well although Im sorry you had to do another exam at least you do now know something more. and its good it took only 2wks for that to come back to you so thats a positive.. I will try to save some fingernails in case. .. am still waiting for a call from the MP office and of course still waiting on word from immigration.. Ill keep ya posted.

Hi Fadi.. Thank you for your best wishes, Hoping the same for you.. All I know is that the VO in detroit told my husband that it would take 2-3 weeks to get his documents back or hear something back from ottawa. It will be 3 weeks tomorrow since the officer called. so we still wait.

That was good thing to do to save some of them. lol. I have yet to hear back anything since i submitted the additional medicals, only a chest xray, they requested for so i am waiting to get some in the next week or at the end of this month. Don't worry too much you will be contacted next week too because i think you are lunch since additional medicals have not been asked for. The next thing you will get soon is the ppr in the post. Fingers crossed for both of us.. The IO normally assigns a bring forward date for 30 days in a situations like ours when s/he contacts you for more information to be submitted to them. I guess you are looking around one month which has already finished..
