Hello everybody,

I was wondering if we can discuss some of the post ITA scenarios in this topic (apologies, if this has already been discussed).
I would like to know about the cases of Indian nationals who are currently in US and have submitted for PCC (FBI) after receiving their ITA and were not able to get it by the time of the deadline for submission of profile.
Basically, wanting to know, are there decent chances of getting extension to deadlines with LOE for PCC and is it good to wait for the PCC and decline the ITA until we have all the documents.

P.S: Since PCC from FBI can take anywhere beyond that 60 days time frame.

Please feel free to add any other scenarios that you guys can think of where others receiving getting ITA can get help from.

It's a good idea to start gathering PCCs from countries you no longer live in, and from the US even if you still live there, as soon as you create your EE profile and are told you are eligible for EE. The FBI takes particularly long, and CIC is aware of that. If you get an ITA and are still waiting for your FBI PCC, I think it is best to wait until close to the deadline (but 56 days, not 60!) before sending in your PR application. Then, if the FBI report still hasn't come in, send proof that you applied for it more than 60 days before (a credit card receipt, a copy of your application letter) and explain in an LOE that you are still waiting and will send it by CSE when it comes.

IMO, people are truly not being very smart when they decline ITAs they may never see again - and which someone else could have used! If you start gathering all your documents even before uploading your EE profile, make sure that your IELTS and ECA are correct and up to date and that you have requested all the required PCCs beforehand, and if you are honest in your EE profile and don't try to inflate points by claiming educational credits not reflected in your ECA, jobs you have had but cannot prove you had, or money that is not in your bank, you will not have to decline the invitation you have worked so hard to get!

Thanks for the reply and Congrats on your PR :)
I will just wait until the last week probably and just send the LOE for FBI PCC (if i don't get by that time).
