Post ITA - Exclude Recent Work Experience

I recently got an ITA for my Express Entry submission and I need some help with the application.

Is it okay to exclude portions of my foreign work experience that cannot be proved according to the CIC criteria. This won’t change my CRS points.

The portion I’d like to exclude is my self-employed experience in the last two years and half. I’ve been trying to monetize an online business and I won’t be able to collect letters of reference for it.

I got 50 CRS points of foreign work experience (CRS – Skill Transferability – Foreign Work Experience). My work history in the last ten years, from old to most recent: employer1 for 5.5 years, employer2 for 0.5 year, and self-employed for 2.5 years. All within the same NOC.

In fact, since I already have 50 points by only using employer1, I’ve been also thinking of excluding employer2.

Another possibility is to reject the ITA, get into the pool again without my last two employment experiences and get another ITA, but this seems to be extreme.

Please help me. I would appreciate any advice you might have.

Thank you, Hell.

For self-employed experience, you don't need reference letters, you need other documents. Check here Under Proof of Work Experience --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp

If you have got the reference letters for both the jobs, why do you want to do this? The golden rule to follow is to provide as many documents as possible. No one got rejected for providing extra documents.

Thanks romram. You brought up an excellent point. One way to tackle the application is to provide as much information as possible to back up your claims. What I fear is that bureaucrats may find it that I'm throwing it against the wall and seeing what sticks. Just to understand where you're coming from, based on what information is the golden rule to provide as many documents as you can?
