It is a great idea to share info on this. I am not sure if the greatest benefit will come from knowing individual reasons then generalizing them. Best to look at every reason for refusal and compare your application to that. Make sure you positively address each reason in your application. For example, include travel history, assets, home ties, reason for course choice, etc in cover letter.
The best thing about sharing is seeing how people are going from refusal to success. That is truly uplifting!! I wonder if the spreadsheet might focus on reapplication stats instead of refusal reasons? Just a thought. Good luck all.

Bro Appeal is not accepted on Canadian Temporary visa applications(accepted only on Canadian PR cases).
Instead of this you should had have improved your SOP.

I reapplied with appeal latter but its nt only appeal latter, it's appeal cum sop which contains explanation of reasons that they gave.

I applied on 29 July '13. My application was refused on 8th August.

My Profile:-
10th: 72%
10+2: 73%
B.TECH (Computer Science & Engineering): 76% (2012 Pass-out, 1 backlog)
IELTS: 7.5 (L:8.0, R:8.5, S:7.0, W:6.5)

Course Applied for: Computer Systems Technician – Networking at Centennial College.

REASONS of refusal as mentioned in the letter:-
1. Your Travel History
2. Your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence
3. Purpose of visit
4. Your proposed studies cannot be considered a logical progression of studies

About reason #1: I went to Dubai in 2009 as a tourist. I had a visa of about 2 months but returned within the visa duration (Stayed for 4 days only).
About reason #2: My Uncle (Mom's brother) and his family lives in Brampton. I didn't mention anything about them in my application. My Mom visited them last year in October. (could that be a problem?)

About rest, I've no idea. Please HELP!!

rejection is some what different to u people -stated that the proposed course doesnt make sense and i am not a genuine student who would depart canada authorised u r stay

i was a physiotherapist applied to massage therapy diploma in medicine hat college alberta and i was rejected on 10th july 2013,my consultant told me that u can apply again in genaral as i applied in spp earlier,so i aplied again on 22nd july with strong sop that my course makes sense to me and i am a genuine student and i will leave canada after my study,already i paid full tution fee and took gic.
Again i was rejected that my proposed course of study are not reasonable in light of one or more of u r qualifications,previous studies etc
experienced guys like u ppl please review my profile carefully and advice me because i will surely follow the advice u give to me
My complete profile:
10th-76%
inter 76%
bpt-60%
ielts-6band with not less than 5.5
one year gap in studies managed that i had done long term after 12th and one year work experience

Now my question is wish to apply for january intake for fitness and health promotion which is a post secondary programme at flemming , conestoga,or fanshawe college or centennial college
because i know my friends were succeded in securing visas with this programme
please guide me what to do ?because this will be my third time if i apply again to canada
or can i take post graduate certificate in therapeutic recreation in fleming college

Hey manoj,improve your IELTS score...try for 6.5 with no less than 6 in any band....that wud make ur case strong...I think ur IELTS score is the main rejection...

hey.....I m still waitin for my visa approval hope to get a positive reply, but im scared by seeing da profile and da cause of rejection....cud anyone tell me wat cud be mine fate in gettin visa.....mine profile is as follows
10th 65%
12th 50%
dip in mech 68%(1backlog in 2nd yr. cleared in da nxt sem)
BE in mech 63%(aggrgt)(6kts, though I wasnt able to clear da paper in consecutive sems)
Ielts overall 7 nthin less dan 6

though in sop I hv tried to xplain regarding my bad performance in BE, I also mentioned abt comin back to india, but I didnt mentioned abt 12th.

I applied for comp. Sys. Technician i.e fast track (1 year) nd i didnt attachd any sop as i didnt hv any gap...
Now i m applying for WIN at fleming..r u also applting again for jan intake
