Hi~ guys

I applied PGWP as of May 25th, and still waiting for it.

is it possible go abroad just for 3days and back again without any Visa paper in hand???

My work pertmit already expired, dont have any approved paper.

would it be risky if i dont have any paper in hand??

Thank you
If you're not from a visa exempt country, you can't even get back in lol.

I know processing time for PGWP application is taking more than three months
but I want to ask if 3 years you get is starting from the time you applied for PGWP or the time your application is approved ?

It will start on the date the approve it not when you applied.

Hi There

I have some questions so I hope you guys can help me with it :)

I have applied for a post graduate workpermit and submitted in June 1st, so I am still waiting for it to be approved. Its been 2 and a half months and its still haven't approved yet but I want to start working so can I be able to find a job on implied status?

Thanks

If your currently working depends if your employer asked for your extension or no. According to CIC you can still work while you are waiting for your work permit.
But if your looking for work on implied status its hard to get a job because employers don't wanna hire someone who might not be able to stay in Canada or might leave them.
However you can still try looking for jobs some employers might take the risk.

Hey it would be nice to know if you have retained a lawyer to apply your work permit. If so could I get a referral?

Hello Everyone,

I applied for my PGWP last May 20, 2015 and am still waiting for the result. I have a job offer contingent with the PGWP and if I don't get it by September 25, 2015, I will lose the job offer.

Have called CIC call center and was told to wait since they are still processing those applications dated May 5th.

Have also sent an urgent request through the Case Specific Enquiry but don't know when I will be able to get a reply.

Is there any other way you guys know of on how to contact CIC other than the two I have tried?

Thanks

Applied on May 12th 2015.
Status: waiting

received a request letter few days ago which requires me to pay another $100 (open work permit folder fee),
does it mean my work permit is going to be processed soon / it is processing?
anyone has the same situation as me?

Mamo5002000,

You cannot get a postgraduate work permit unless you studied full time for at least 8 months or more. For more information on what to know about postgraduate work permits, go here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/work-postgrad-who.asp.

In some cases, you do not require a study permit to go to school in Canada.
If you wish to study in a short-term course or program such as English;
You do not need a study permit if you plan to take a course or program in Canada that lasts 6 months or less. And in this situation where you are studying 6 months or less, you can't work (20hrs/week) while studying.

So, the best option is for you to seek long term education where;

You will be studying in an academic, vocational or professional training program that leads to a degree, diploma or certificate that is at least more than 8 months in duration.

Good luck.

Cheers!

any special you'd like to share with your experience?

Hi guys
Can anybody share experience about this

When I apply for PGWP , I am allowed to work full time while waiting for the approval of the PGWP or not?

And if I am allowed to work full time while I wait for the approval or denial ,will that contribute to cic refusing the PGWP

Hi Guys,
I applied for the PGWP on May11th so it's been 141 days since I applied while the processing time on the website is currently132. It seems my PGWP should be processed but it hasn't been processed yet. How does that number-of-days calculated?
Thanks!
