Hi, I have applied for Work permit on October last week 2012 (By mail). My WP approved on 3rd week of Jan 2013, waiting for papers to come into hand.

Heyy were you able to check if CIC had received your application via phone before the approval date?
I called CIC but they wouldn't even tell me if they had my application received as they said "it has not been processed"

One of my friends applied for the pgwp online on Dec 20th. Hers got approved on Feb 1 and was received on Feb 5.

If you have applied for your pgwp through paper, please post your timeline. Much appreciated!!

I applied through the paper application (since there was some issue in the online system) during the last week of December and so far did not receive it ... guessed we have to be patient

i am in the exact same position as you. the online system was just not working!!!
did you try to call and check the status of your application? has the receive date been recorded yet?

I applied online around Dec 20. Earlier this week was asked to re-submit one of the documents, which means they were working on it.

Does anyone know how long it would usually take them to review my application again? I called and was not told that it will not go back to the end of the line, but there will a delay.

In another post, it took nearly a month for cic to re-process the application for PGWP. You can search it.

Only if the system works you can embrace it....

I was not able to "sign" on the system - it always showed an error page.

what was the update ? did they gave you ur pgwp or they just precessing it ? and how long it tool to receive an update ? i sent my appli throw mail 2 , update please .

no panic. i meant the online update.
My application status just got updated yesterday: now the phone system says "your application was received on Jan 7th, 2013". I wonder how much longer it will take from here.
