Post Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) current actual processing time in Canada

@Kary, have your received your work permit? I have not got mine yet though it was approved on Nov 9th. I need to work from next week. Crossing my fingers!

I am not in Canada now, I am not sure if it's in my mailbox or not. Anyway, if you are too worried about not receiving it on-time, you can call the CIC number and ask an agent to provide your employer an email letter that confirms your work permit approval (they have all the info in their system after your application is opened&approved). The HR department should have no problem give you a couple more days to receive the actual paper permit since you client number, permit issued date and expired date are what they really need. Anyone know why this week doesnt upate? it is still processing Aug 26th? I have applied on Oct,1st. But i call CIC call center.There is no record for my recently application file. it is still not approved. Anyone applied after Sep 26th, receive the approved info?

CIC has updated their site. Now it says September 1.

Good day Bago lang po ako sa forums. nakalagay po kasi sa Mercan online application ko na change na cya thru "On Pool" ano po kaya ito under selection pa po ng mga employer sa canada? nakapag Final Medical na po ako last October 2012. pacenxa na po sa pagtatanong salamat po. matagal pa po kaya yung visa? kasi hindi pa po ako tntext ng mercan pero sudenly naiba po ung status ko sa online application.

you haven't got yours yet? it really various between different companies. I work for a non-profit research centre, they are not that strict, I mean once they know my permit is approved everything works just fine for them. Dont worry too much.

Hello,

My 1 Year post grad work permit is about to expire (in 3 days) My employer applied for LMO an today I got refusal.Reason was "low wage" compared to Canadian workers.I have also applied for work permit extension 15 days before my visa expires but I am assuming it will be denied without valid LMO.
I would like to apply for restoration of the status once my work permit gets rejected,before that my employer will increase salary and reapply for LMO.
My questions are
1. Am I on a right way?
2.Do I have to wait until my work permit gets rejected and then apply for restoration or can I apply before that?
2.How long the process of restoration lasts?
3.What is the percentage of getting my status restored?

Any other advise?

Received on Oct 1st,2012. Approved on 11th Nov, 2012. Waiting for permit delivery.

any updates anyone, i submitted on oct 20 and still waiting, from the looks of it the processing time is 45 days from the day u submit, according to previous comments

21 sept-----> nov 8 (48 days)
25 sept-----> nov 9 (45 days)
1 oct ------> nov 11(41 days)

Just got my PGWP. The good thing is they give me 1.5 year instead of 1 year. I did my master from sep2011 to sep2012. So keep your fingers crossed
