Post Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) current actual processing time in Canada

Hi,

This thread is about current actual processing time taken for Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) applications. Since CIC website does not offer any specific processing time taken for PGWP, and everything is put up under new employer work permit category, it would be really helpful for people who are seeking the most updated processing times through discussion.

I have applied for the work permit on September 8, 2012 and haven't received till date (i.e. August 3, 2012). Please help me by posting your application dates, and the actual date you received it. It will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mackie, I was wondering if you have received your permit till now, Nov 5th? My classmate applied PGWP on August 30 and received hers' on Sep 29th.

I have applied for work permit on September 18, 2012. No reply yet. I have applied online. CIC website says they are reviewing August 23, 2012 application (work permit; online) as of October 31, 2012.

Let me know if you have heard anything from them.

hi mdd, i'll keep u updated, I actually applied on Sep 21 and heard nothing as of Nov 6th. Again, someone had mentioned before, the processed application date is not that reliable, I know at least 2 people who applied around Sep 1st received their PGWP last month. Usually the date they have on the website is about 10 days earlier then the actual date, ie, Aug 23 probably means they finished applications for the beginning of September. Let's see what they have for us tmr, another Wednesday update.

it took me about 5 weeks to receive mine! Applied 1/4 , received on 2/10

I submitted my on Sep 25, 2012 and no reply yet. The most recent updated (Nov 7,2012)one still says it works on application submitted on Aug 26, 2012. :'(

On October 31, they said they were reviewing August 23 application. Today, November 7, they are reviewing August 26! It's quite disappointing!

extremely slow and inefficient. Help me out here, they keep extending the expected waiting time is because what? a lot of people applying during this window? Convince me.

which city are you in. I applied on October 1st. no any replied. two people applied on Sep 21 and 23, they received their PGWP today? they are in tornoto?

Yes Toronto. The one applied on Sep 21 got hers two days ago, the other one who applied on Sep 23 receives it today.
