Post Graduate Work Permit Rejected- Need help

Hi Guys,

I've applied my PGWP this Feb. 24th(I was graduate this January) but got rejected. Everything was fine except I didn't realize CIC made some changes regarding the payment. Their new policy requires applicant pay $100 work permit holder fee in addition to the regular $150 application fee.(This new policy took effect in Feb. 21st). I applied on Feb. 24th and got a letter from CIC asking me to submit the payment receipt on April 30th. I thought they were referring to the application fee so I submitted the $150 payment receipt. I didn't realize they were asking for the $100 additional fee until my school send us international students an email regarding this issue. So I immediately paid the $100 fee on May 21st before CIC made the final decision. Unfortunately I got the rejection letter on May 26th. The reason CIC rejected me was because they didn't receive the $100 payment receipt within 10 days (starting from April 30th).
The letter stated that I could apply for restoration as my temporary resident status expired on May 26th, 2015. However, I'm currently out of Canada which means the restoration may not apply to me. Besides, I was told that the restoration process could take 3-4 months.
Can anyone help me with my situation and give me some advice other than restoration? I'd be very much appreciated.

1. Pointless, the OP is outside Canada, so can't apply for restoration. S/he didn't apply for the PGWP within 90 days of graduation, so s/he is out of luck.

Rudeness in your responses doesn't help. Secondly, I know people who have been in his/her situation who have applied for TRV in or outside Canada as a visitor after their PGWP was denied. Otherwise every student who studied in Canada and was in that situation would be out of luck. Canada ain't that rude and pointless to people. Thirdly, everyone's situation is different and none of us on this site is an expert on Canadian programs and applications.

I have kind of related question. I applied for post grad work permit some time ago, but my application was refused (silly reason tbh, I applied late).
So now I apply for another work permit and I'm not really sure what to put in background information section of my application.
It asks if I previously applied to enter and remain in Canada. So yes, I've been a holder of study permit twice and applied for post grad work permit. The other question is if I was ever refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada/any other country. So.. should I check yes? I was refused that post grad work permit some time ago, but I'm not sure if that counts as I wasn't refused on the border, I didn't even get the letter of acceptance. There's also place to add a short explanation. So If I need to check that I was refused what should I write as an explanation?

Check "yes" and explain what you explained here.

Canadavisa13,

You are the one now arguing trying to make you and others look good. Just because I'm a full member doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about. Secondly, these site titles are simple metrics programmed within the website. For example, if you are a newbie, you have less than ten posts. If you are a member you have less than 20 posts. Once you become a full member it means you've gained 30 posts. You get the picture? So lets not get carried away with these titles and metrics. If you've been observant enough you would have noticed that even those who are only here to ask for help get these site metric titles. Fortunately for me I don't care about these titles and they don't make me too proud to the point of not understanding student's/applicants' needs.

Thirdly, I've been helping students at the university without needing to come to this site and I've never used this site for help but I know that others need help.

Applicants especially students need help, encouragement, motivation, and other ways of returning or coming to Canada rather than saying "oh, you are out of luck"; as if you own Canada. We've all been there and we shouldn't forget that. I will maintain that no one on this site is an expert on Canadian immigration programs and applications apart from Immigration lawyers and the employees of CIC.

So, before you and others continue attacking me, think again. Help those who need assistance and put titles/stars/ratings and pride aside.

Hi,

Can you please tell me that what did CIC exactly told you to do when they asked for extra $100 fee. Did they told u to email the receipt or something or they told u to upload the receipt somewhere. If they told you to email or mail the receipt, can u please tell me the email address or mailing address.
