Post Graduate Work Permit Processing Time (PGWP)

Hi everyone,

I really need your opinions on my case: I've applied on Aug 12nd while my study permit was expired at the end of July. So, I paid for restoration as a student and attached the receipt to my PGWP application. I am losing job opportunities and also I ran out of money since I cannot work while they issue my work permit.
The question is that can I go to the border now to get the work permit or even an authorization for work?
What should I do now? please help me if you have any info.

Is the background check info is normal?

thats normal, which shows always before they begin the application. If you are lucky, your application will be processed this year.
As you restored the status, it will be more complicated review check. If you are concerned, its always better to work with immigration lawers.

I am not sure about that as my lawyer sent screenshot but background check part not visible on that.

You are on restoration I wouldn't advise going to the border. It can be very risky going to the border when on implied or restoration status from what I have heard and seen from this forum. Don't risk getting deported.

Background check is normal in every application so don't worry.

I am more concerned about my work authorization. I cannot work for like 6 months! There are some COVID exemptions for out of status workers to get their work authorization. But, there is nothing for students seeking PGWP.

I think you should be able to work during application so no worry just keeps trying send your resume.
I do not think you can get PGWP now since I think they stop offer this service since maybe start of 2020

Just got approved. Didn't receive any email. Applied on 15th May 2020, Eligibility review started on 7th October 2020 and Approved on 9th October 2020.

congrats, my application review also started. Applied on 17th may. I am worried now.
