You need to apply for a visa separately after approval of PGWP.
thanks, but are you sure about this? PGWP would be initial work permit application. According to IRCC guideline, it looks they would process the counterfoil at the same time for Work permit?

Yes, I am Sure. You need apply individual for passport stamping. Without that you are not able to travel. its just for travel purpose.

If you applied for pgwp outside Canada they will process the counterfoil at the same time and ask for your passport. If you applied within Canada you need to initiate a second application for counterfoil.

Are you able to find work? My new employer ended my employment within a week because I don't have a valid SIN number. Is it possible to extend the SIN number?
I am confused. I thought your SIN is valid till you get a decline on your PGWP even if it expires. That's what the Ircc website says too? Can someone confirm

Just received an update on my application. Says 'we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements' and background check says 'not applicable.' Should I be worried about the not applicable thing?? sorry guys, I am so incredibly paranoid and deal with anxiety I need some answers T_T

I applied on Jan 31st btw

Not sure about the not applicable thing but according to what we’ve seen on this thread People usually receive their results a couple of days after eligibility review starts. I’d stay calm and hope for the best since you will see the results very soon. It’s understandable to be anxious but it does no good to panic. At this stage of the application all we can do is waiting. I searched for Background check not applicable In the forum and it seems not uncommon. Many threads related to PR applications mentioned that.

Buddy got refused for PGWP.
He dropped one subject and officer says it doesnt meet the 8months of fulltime, even the friend retook the class in 1yr and passed the class.

He applied on May 3rd without biometrics.
Now he is working on with visa lawer.

Hey did he write an explanation letter to be submitted along with his application to explain why he dropped?
