Anyone could go to the border and get work permit there. It hardly takes 45 minutes to get work permit.
Online application takes too long :(

Have you tried going to the border to apply for a work permit? Coz I am planning to get my spouse's OWP there when I receive my PGWP. Any tips on what to expect?

No update for mine yet :(

I did, two times, they do to people who go there early, they only take around 20 applicants daily, at least at the rainbow bridge they do. I was denied both the times even after talking to the guy for a very long and he used to say the same things that if the wait time exceeds a certain amount they stop taking new applicants. Apparently, my friend went to the border a month ago and the officer said that they are working there 24/7 and can approve anytime whereas I was said that you will have to come early in the morning and it won't be guaranteed.

I applied on 14th July, didn't have a job offer then, now I do and i don't know what will happen when they will find out, I am still gonna convince them that implied status is legal but let's see.

hmmmm... that's good to know, thanks.. it's worth the risk that you're gonna take as compared to waiting for more than 2 months... maybe I will go to the border first, then, if nothing happens, I will just apply online and just be patient.

I would suggest you to go a night before and stay there and go for flagpoling early in the morning around 4 and get your paper and try it out. I hope you get it. It was too much for me and i got frustrated and didnt try it out the next day as the border was too far. Also make sure you go only on tuesdays wednesdays and thursdays as then only they offer this service. Let me know if you have any other questions, Ill try to help. Goodluck!

I could've done it but I didn't want to take the risk. Anyway, I wasn't in any hurry.

its pretty normal to receive this email a few days after applying. it doesn't really mean anything though and there wont be any changes to your application. Its happened to a few people i know.
Yep bro. My status changed back to submitted from updated so maybe it's just a normal submission messege.
