I applied for my PGWP on May 27th, 2023 and I received my biometrics validity/correspondence letter on June 27th, 2023 and have not received a decision since then. All my batch mates have received their PGWP. The status of my application says June 27th final decision your applicantion is in progress, we will send you a message when a final decision has been made. Why does it say final decision then?
I am currently working and my employer is following up on my work permit. I received the letter allowing me to work but it said I can work till October 5th or if a decision is made whichever comes first. I have raised a webform twice no response and called IRRC as well. On the call the agent just tells me that all checks have been completed on June 27th, there is no request for further documentation and you are waiting for final decision. They keep putting a follow up note on my file, but I haven't received any updates yet. Is anyone else in the same boat now? Has anyone been in this situation previously, and ended up getting their permits? I am thinking maybe the application has fallen from the cracks? Please share as much as you can to put my mind at ease a bit.

For Writ your processing times will have passed by at least a year or more.
Please, anyone here knows about anyone who ever applied for the PGWP along with an extension for OSWP (for spouse)... and the PGWP was approved, but the OSWP is still processing, with no final decision for several weeks after the PGWP approval?

Background check and eligibility is still in process.
Contacted ircc through calls, raised webforms and also contacted MP, non of them worked for me
Applied for GCMS notes and has been more than a month, no update on that either.
They say all the documents are received and no more required….
If anyone can please help me out here, would really appreciate that.

Same as mine almost 5 months and I did everything I can, I think we only need to wait. Mine is eligibility not started yet.
Can I ask, my husband has work permit under his pgwp. Can we apply work permit for me while waiting for my pgwp? And is it gonna affect my pgwp application if we did apply for open work permit?
Finally, my PGWP was approved after 176 days.
My timeline
Mar 13 - First PGWP application submitted
May 8 - Refused along with Correspondence letter
June 1 - Submitted second PGWP with the supporting documents
Oct 8 - Reconsideration request for the first PGWP is refused
Nov 1 - Went my local MP's office
Nov 2 - A staff from my local MP's office got back to me and told that nothing has been started other than background check
Nov 21 - Correspondence letter but none of the details of my application status has been updated.
Nov 22 - Signed into IRCC's website to see if there is any update and saw my application is approved.
Now I am waiting for a physical copy of the permit in my mail
There is one strange thing tho. Review of eligibility is completed on Nov 22. But the final decision has been made on Nov 21.
If it's not a glitch in their system. It means they approved my application before they even started review of eligibility...
Here is my two cents for those who got their PGWP applications refused. If you are still in the 180 day window, submit a new application with supporting documents (LoE and letter from school) instead of just waiting for reconsideration.
My timeline

If you husband has a full time job, you can apply for an open work permit. Probably it would take as long as your PGWP application since it's under the same category of permit...
I am not 100% about the latter question. I doubt it would affect your eligibility of PGWP but It's better to call IRCC and confirm with them.
Same case here, Applied on May 10, 2023 and still waiting. Eligibilty and background check is still in process.
Raised webform and got the same reply that Your status is maintained and documents are complete.
Hoping for the best but waiting is too hard.
I applied for PGWP on May 27th, 2023. On June 27th, 2023 I got a correspondence letter from IRCC saying my biometrics are valid. There has been no update since then, so I asked an MPs to inquire from IRCC on the status of my application and their office said that the IRCC agent confirmed my application is approved. But I have not received the final decision yet. Is this common and when will IRCC respond to me now that MPs have reached out asking for an update. Please share if you have gone through a similar experience and what were the timelines till you got a response?
