Yes, SOWP can be applied along with PGWP. If applied together, there’s no need for 3 paystub for the SOWP application. But if applied separately, then we need to attach 3 paystub (PGWP job must be in NOC 0, A or B) when applying for SOWP.
I applied july 4th, outside canada. My university took forever to get me my official transcripts.
you don't need official transcripts. You can apply with unofficial transcripts as well. Since, you will be adding completion letter as well which is sent by university. Therefore, you can cut the wait time required to get official transcripts. So, In short essentially, the day you get course completion letter which is usually earlier always than getting official transcripts you can go ahead and apply.
A little caveat, most of the universities have portal where you can download unofficial transcipts yourself. So, above condition holds good but if you need to request unofficial transcripts or your university/college doesn't have on-demand self-generation of unofficial transcripts then you gotta wait.

I got the advise from my College’s Int’l Students Office. They even walked me through while I was doing my online application. In the initial question about family member accompanying me, I answered yes. After my application was done, my spouse and my son followed immediately because of my answer on accompanying family. I don’t have a NOC B job yet when I applied for my PGWP. But I got my approval including my wife’s SOWP and my son’s change from SP to Visitor. However, I only got 1 year because of passport expiry. I have since gotten my additional 2 years after renewing my passport. So, for others who have yet to apply, better to apply for passport renewal now.Really? How do you know that? lol, not really... I have seen other successful PGWPs too. As long as the student never violated any of the SP conditions, then PGWP approval is almost always certain.
PGWP approval is fine, i am talking about SOWP approval along with PGWP that too without any job.
Well, my wife already has an SOWP which she got under my SP. So, it’s only an extension application. And I acknowledge my College’s assistance when I was filling the applications.
Got my PGWP today! Applied May 15, went into eligibility review this morning, approved an hour ago. Good luck, everyone!
