Hi everyone!! I applied for my pgwp on May 18. The site says 9 weeks processing time (newest update) but it has already passed. Looking for a full time job and getting rejected by employers only because my work permit isn't approved. Anyone here who applied around the same date?
why they rejected you for that reason, you are legal to work until you get the final decision from CIC. My manager tries to let me work asap tho.

I told them that I can legally work when I got hired. But they simply refused and said the management can't accept the pgwp confirmation to play safe...

Hey guys ! I had applied for my work permit on 6th May through a lawyer. I got the work permit on 17th June.
I created a cic account now and i have linked that application to my account.
However, I don’t have any clue about getting my passport stamped.
How can i get my passport stamped ? Where do i have to send it ? Where do i begin this process ?
Can anyone please help.
Thanks in advance

There is no stamp for pgwp, if you need a trv then you need to make a separate application for trv.

Hi Guys.

This is off topic in this thread, but I just want to ask opinions from you, since you guys are already on PGWP applications and you already went through the Study permit application.

This is my case.

We applied for study permit for myself, and an OWP for husband, and a SP as well for my daughter on June 28, 2019.

On July 23, I got a request letter for payment of a work permit, which we paid on the same day and sent the receipt on MyCIC account.

July 24,

  • I got my biometric correspondence letter.
  • My husband and daughter got approved, and got their LOI.

Until now, mine is still on process.

Is there any other same case here before? Is it possible that a Study permit be refused, while the dependents got approved?

It is already taking too long, and beyond the 4weeks processing time. I did send an inquiry on webform, but gotten no response yet.

Please enlighten me.

Hi everyone, congratulations on all the acceptances this week!

I was wondering if its fine to apply for TRV outside of Canada? I am currently in Canada and after I get my work permit approved (applied May 16th) I might leave the country for a couple weeks.

Try not to, because if theres any querry in visa or anything you wont be able to come back easily, Outside canada the processing time is also high. Why dont you stay here and apply visa its just one or two weeks process..

My mother's 50th birthday is in two weeks so I am looking into how I can make it back to see her without having re-entry issues.
