Applied may 3rd,

Approved for 2 years and 1 month upto my passport expiry.

However, the message on CIC doesn't mention that I can extend it for the remaining 11 months

Or will they mention that when they ship the document to me?

guys, just have a question. so my student visa is valid until April 2020. I gotta go back home in middle of July and come back in August. Do I have to apply for a new visa since my status has changed?

What do you mean by when status has changed?
I believe as long as your visa is valid, you can enter Canada.

I went to India in my winter break for 3 weeks last December. I think it should be fine.

I'm just confused about this. Like since I now have a work permit, my status in Canada is worker now? but my visa is still a student visa. I heard that study permit and student visa are expired after 3 months after graduation.
Anyways I'm just confused...
