But how come people who applied after me already got it approved like the one here who applied on May 2nd while I applied on 30th April. I had submitted completion letter from the University along with my transcripts, also attached a letter of explanation & showed my funding. But if I call now would they entertain? As on the CIC it still says working on applications from 9th April & they usually don't entertain calls till your date is passed. What's the number again and what numbers I need to dial on the keypad after I have called on that number to speak to the customer care?
Why would you show your funding if that’s not even required? Also, why would you attach a letter of explanation if they don’t ask you for one? It’s ok to submit one if your case is special, let’s say you had to renew your passport and are now re-applying for the PGWP.
To all, please understand that this PGWP is not some sort of crazy application, hence you shouldn’t attach stuff that is not required. If you completed your studies in Canada (2 or more years) you are eligible for a post graduate work permit, simple as that. Just attach stuff that is required and don’t make the job of the agents more difficult by attaching items that are not required. It’s like a question on an exam: read it first before writing down your answer. The people that work on our applications are humans and hence we should help them out by only attaching what is required and not adding stupid stuff. If you got a final transcript then that’s awesome. The transcript explicit says that person xy completed their studies in this term. And Cic is fine with that. No need to get fancy here

Mr. Goldi, wish it was this easy. I have had experience in past where they have had made some errors in my visa before I arrived here in Canada, even when I applied for study permit extension, first time they gave me till 1 sem prior of my program completion & I had to apply for another study permit extension because of that despite submitting a webform outlining the error & had to repay the application fee just as I did for 1 error prior to when I arrived here. Also, if you go through forum completely, you will find many such experiences that are shared here. So it is better to submit everything than to reapply as it is a long wait.

So please spare yourself from passing some smart comments without knowing the situation & without doing proper research

Call the IRCC Call Centre (1-888-242-2100), from within Canada only, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm local time, except for statutory holidays). To speak to an agent, navigate through the automated messages by pressing 3-4-1-0. Prepare to wait on hold for some time. Try calling early in the morning or use a speakerphone
