What are people putting for the employment history section? The instructions (guide 5580) say it’s not required and I don’t remember the dates on some of my oldest jobs.

The form won’t validate if I leave it blank. should I write N/A or just say graduated student?

Will the IRCC officer know it’s because it’s not required if I leave out info they have on record? Or will it be delayed?

my lawyer said this is PGWP application so we don't have to put all of employment history, just study history. for example: grad student from ABC Uni from 2019-2022. Hope this helps

Hi, they got it for the length of their passports, mom got it for 7 years, and dad for 9. My sister and her partner also applied and got it. Sister for 8 years, and her partner for 5 years.

They all got it until the expiration date of their respective passport.
Oh that's awesome. Thanks for replying :)

Hello guys,

I just wanted to say that I went to Peace arch border on Tuesday. Firstly, the officer was arguing with me outside the office but I seriously did not give up and argued with him till the end. He was seriously being a jerk and I went inside the office anyways.
They asked me to flagpole but I was really scared because my TRV expired last year in November and never applied for a new one. Just got a extension permit but no visa. So basically they told me the US does not care if you have a valid TRV or not because you are only going there for flagpole. So after 30-40 mins of arguing, I went to the States and got done with my flagpole and came back. Just so you guys know the US officers in the office were quite easy going with me and I was shocked because every other person tells the officers are scary and what not.
I came back and showed my flagpole to the Canadian officer and within 20 mins I got my Work permit. I was eligible for a 3 year work permit but my passport expires sooner so I only got a 2 year work permit.
I applied for my visa today on paper so hopefully, I will get that soon.
I regret applying online for sure for my PGWP and these 5 months of waiting were a complete WASTE.
