Hi,I got the PGWP today by flag polling completed my studies in December applied PGWP in January was waiting from long time so went to nearest border and had all the paperwork with me.
Officer took transcripts and degree issues a 3 years work permit of 2 years studies.
Thanks to everyone here in group!!
Also wanted to know now should I withdraw my IRCC application?
You need to have Valid TRV and valid status as officer asked me before flagpolling as my study permit and TRV was valid till April 4.Hi,
I have the exact same situation, waiting from January for my PGWP, and I need to travel to my country. My study permit and my student visa have been expired on Jan 19, and I wonder if I am able to apply for PGWP at the nearest border office or not, since I do not have a valid visa and a study permit right now. I have heard that you have to withdraw your IRCC application if you get your PGWP at the border.
I also wonder if I am able to apply for a visa at the border since TRV would not be issued for the inland applicants.
I am from Vancouver, BC.
Yes, you need to withdraw your application which you lodged with IRCC immediately.I got the PGWP today by flag polling completed my studies in December applied PGWP in January was waiting from long time so went to nearest border and had all the paperwork with me.

Thanks for your response. So I guess I have no choice but to wait. I have applied on January 16, hope I'll get it by the end of April. You need to have Valid TRV and valid status as officer asked me before flagpolling as my study permit and TRV was valid till April 4.
You can't get your TRV 'issued' at the border. A TRV is solely issued by IRCC. Also, if you have a previously issued TRV (be it Visitor, Student, or Worker) and it is still valid you can continue using it to re-enter Canada until its expiry.Hi,

I don't think you need a TRV to flagpole, or to re-enter Canada from USA or St. Pierre - Miquelon. You need to have Valid TRV and valid status as officer asked me before flagpolling as my study permit and TRV was valid till April 4.
But you still need status like study permit validI don't think you need a TRV to flagpole, or to re-enter Canada from USA or St. Pierre - Miquelon.
