Presently holding a Post Graduate Work Permit which expires next week. Have sent in my PR application inland (Vegreville) on January 25, 2011 under Family Class Sponsorphip but omitted to ask for Open Work Permit at that time as I was already working. Realizing that I should have also asked for an OPW back in January, I sent a letter along with my application for an OWP on August 2 asking that it be joined to my original PR application. Residing in Quebec, I have received my CSQ on July 30 which would normally mean I should be getting my AIP letter soon.

My question is: As I am presently working and since an OPW application was sent, can I keep on working until a decision is made as to my PR and OPW applications after my Post Graduate Work permit expires ?

Yes you can continue to work on your expired work permit as far as your application has been received by CIC.

Appreciate your quick reply, Adzees.

Another question: Do I need to do anything about Quebec Health Insurance coverage and my temporary SIN (Social Security Number) which all expire today ? Thanks
