Hi there,
I know we have a lot of similar situations on this forum. But I want to know if there is anyone that can specifically relate to my situation, and what did they do and did their solutions work?
In the 2nd semester of my 2nd year of studies, I was taking a full-time course load. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to manage all of my courses and I was very worried that I would fail some of them. So I decided to drop two of my courses (I was taking 4 courses in that semester) in the middle of the semester and that's how I became part-time. At that time, I didn't know that it would change my full-time status to part-time, and would affect my eligibility for PGWP (I know I was wrong I should've consulted my advisor first...).
I have talked to the school advisor and they told me I could write a letter that explains the situation, but by doing so, I will be bringing attention to my part-time status. They also said if I initially apply without this, there is still a chance that the Officer approves my application. So I am not really sure if I should include it or not.
Has anyone had/heard of a similar case and some successful story of getting PGWP in a similar situation? Any suggestions on what to do are much appreciated
Thank you.
