Hi there,
This may seem like a straightforward question but here is the background. I am applying to do my Master's at University in Canada. The course is advertised to take between 1.5(16months) and 2 years. However, after contacting my department, I learned that I can take more courses each semester, and finish my project in the summer term. Overall, I have the option to accelerate the programme so I finish in 1 year.
I can only show that I could afford to study for 1 year - could I apply for a 1 year study permit instead of a 1.5 or 2 yr? I ask because I want to apply for the PGWP after graduation. This leads me to my second question: given this situation what duration of PGWP would be applied - the length of the programme normally, or how fast I finished it?

Thanks!
