Does PG mean Master or PhD? I guess that it is Master degree as it will take 1.5 to 2 yrs.
I am not in Canada yet, but in the process of getting the study permit. So I can't say much about the job market for telecom in Canada

For the Telecom degree you can take a look at ECE department of every University. Under the department website there should be a research area called Telecommunication/Communication. Read though their website for the info. I suggest you first decide which province you want to stay. Then research about the universities in that province. Then go to ECE department of that university. Good luck.
