Hello experts,

After My Bachelors Degree I did Post graduate Diploma for 6 months. Does that count any points? or i have to use only Bachelors degree?

If they are foreign you need ECA for both. If they are Canadian then you may be able to use both without an ECA.

For me, I had a foreign bachelor degree and a 2 years diploma.

In my ECA report by WES, the bachelor was equivalent to a canadian degree, but the diploma was not counted as a degree. It was equivalent to 2 years of study. So i did not get points for my diploma.

I am not sure, this would be the same for your case or other fields of study or not.

Depends on what the ECA says. If you have an ECA for both and your degree is at least three years, then you need one of the following to select '2 or more degrees, diplomas...'. The only way to find out is to get your ECA assessments.

A three-year or more certificate, diploma, or degree

PLUS any of the results in the sections below (not including secondary/high school), or:

Post-Bachelor's Certificate
Post-undergraduate certificateFootnote 1
Post-Bachelor's Diploma
Post-undergraduate diplomaFootnote 1
Graduate Certificate

I have evaluated my Bachelor of Engineering from WES. But i did not evaluated Post graduate Diploma.
Thats why I want know that whether 6 months Post Graduate Diploma needs to be evaluated so that I can select
'2 or more degrees, diplomas...'.

I once read someone mention that his C-DAC was not recognized by WES. Hope that helps.

I have on doubt,
I already got my assessment from the wes.

1 Postgraduate diploma - 1 year
1 Postgraduate Certificated - 1 year.

Those are not master right?
How should I put on the CIC assessment?

My friend's spouse; who is a dependent, had done his B.Sc Engineering from Bangladesh and after that, he did PGD (Post Graduate Diploma) and M.Sc from London. He applied for ECA through WES in 2014, his results came as Bachelor's degree (4years), and Master's degree. There is no mentioning or credential equivalency for his PGD. . Is it mandatory to do the equivalency of PGD, or will the Master's degree equivalency will do for him, as he is the spouse of the main applicant?
