Hello All,

My post grad work permit expired on Aug 07, 2016. I applied for bridging open work permit still waiting for response.
But now I have found an employer who can help me with LMIA. Even if I start the process tomorrow, job posting has to be at-least one month old on Job Bank before I can submit my LMIA application. In meanwhile, I am afraid that my refusal for bridging work permit will come.

Will I be able to apply for LMIA application if my bridging work permit gets rejected? And how much time will I have??

Please help.
Thanks

I probably cannot help a lot. But I don't see why your bridging work permit being rejected should prevent you from applying for LMIA. They are two different things and I guess they don't affect each other.

If you had your PGWP for 3 years the BOWP application will get rejected.

You can apply for LMIA afterwards, how much time will you have? That I do not know. My guess is that your status will change from implied to visitor.

Cheers :)

I thought the condition for applying LMIA is have to have valid work permit, which I might not have during my application time.

Yes I had PGWP for 3 years. I will have 90 days time period to make another decision for study permit or visitor permit. But dont know without valid work permit would I be able to apply for LMIA??
