Hi All,

I am currently on a PGWP, with PR Application submitted (medical exam passed, rest is pending background check).

I have been accepted to a part time, 1 month course for Digital Marketing at Brainstation - this will be 4 hours a week.

I have been on hold with the CIC for the past hour so I thought I'd try here.

On my PGWP, it says Im not allowed to take any academic, professional, or vocational programs.

However, I have also read on the website that courses under 6months, or distance learning (which I can switch to) do not require a study permit

Since my PR Application is pending, I want to make sure im in the clear before I actually begin studies and not screw up my PR!

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

You can take a part time course provided isn't not part of a longer program that is more than six months. If it's a stand alone course that isn't part of a longer program - you're fine.
