You mean Security Check (IP2) it can take few days to few weeks time depending on risk an applicant impose.Hi Bill. Do you know roughly how long securiry screening takes?
IMMIGRATION, REFUGEES AND CITIZENSHIP CANADA (IRCC)My company is asking to whom should the reference letter be addressed as they do not accept "To whom it may concern" ?
Can anyone please share the complete address ?
For Valid Job offer means an employer is registered and authorise to sponsor an applicant. In most of the cases CIC will call that employer to confirm details or take a written confirmation. It is very unlikely that they will just skim through.1. Also, if you have a valid job offer, does CIC enquire with the company validating the details or just skims through the letter ? The job offered to my spouse is temporary, need-based on assignment and does not mention the word "permanent" though its valid for 2 years. Will this impact our application in any way?
Bill, can you please share your thoughts ?
Hello sir please help me out from this situation,
I have received my hard copy of Confirmation of Nomination from Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program, on 9th September 2017 and the same was generated on 29th August 2017. Only when I received my Confirmation of Nomination hard copy from Ontario, I got to know that my Name of Occupation and NOC code has been marked as 2171(Information systems analysts and consultants), whereas the code or which I applied was1212 (Supervisors, finance and insurance office workers). My NOC code in CIC account and Ontario ONe-key is 1212 i.e. Account Payable Supervisor and the all the work experience related document submitted by me are in line with my job responsibility as Accounts Payable Supervisor. I have received my ITA from CIC on 7th September 2017 and accepted it.
by mentioning the above content i have drafted a mail to Ontario (ontarionominee@ontario.ca)
After couple of days i received a reply as below,
Thank you for your email correspondence to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) mailbox.
Your Nomination Certificate cannot be amended after the nomination certificate has been issued. You must inform Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) when you submit your application for permanent residence (APR) or when your APR is in process if there are any changes to your situation.
We hope this information will assist you. Once again, thank you for your email and for your interest in the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program.
In my case, I received the letter of nomination (Confirmation de Désignation) with a mistake in it : the coutry of residence. (the package was luckily redirected to me after a phone call by UPS), I received it by mid AugustWrite an LOE during E-APR and attach this email to OINP as an evidence that you informed them. It will not be a misrepresentation.
I hope this will help. Good Luck.

Yes, the rule for the country of residence is that it shouldn’t be issued before 6 months and should be issued before you leave. By leave they mean for travelling and not moved permanently.@BillHyatt : Could you confirm this? the PCC requirement that it be issued post your last visit to the country is NOT APPLICABLE when the PCC is from the country of residence. The only requirement is that it must be less than 6 months old.
(i.e. one can travel post such a PCC issuance and it wouldn't become invalid when application is submitted).
Thank you Tanit, please explain What is schedule4 which you have included. In my case, I received the letter of nomination (Confirmation de Désignation) with a mistake in it : the coutry of residence. (the package was luckily redirected to me after a phone call by UPS), I received it by mid August
I immediatly emailed OINP , informing them of the mistake and mentioning that I will be submitting eAPR by mid September hoping that this mistake would not handicap my eAPR application.
then they replied asking me to send back the letter to OINP, that they will " 'evaluate the query, then send back the letter to my adress' "
I submitted eAPR without the letter of nomination (even if I have a copy of the one received and sent back) and included schedule4.
today I emailed OINP telling them that I submitted eAPR, and sent back the letter by the 28thAug.
that was my UNLUCKY MISTAKE adventure , hope it never happens again.
good luck to you Dev1603
Sorry, I am confused @BillHyatt. Are you saying while ithe PCC from country of residence needs to be dated within 6 months, it is NOT fine to travel after its issuance before AOR? I thought there was no comment about travel/leave at all among instructions for country of residence PCC.Yes, the rule for the country of residence is that it shouldn’t be issued before 6 months and should be issued before you leave. By leave they mean for travelling and not moved permanently.
I hope this will help.
Schedule 4 is a Provincial Nomination Details which isn’t required for Express Entry applicants as it is already present online. However, I can understand why he decided to go with.Thank you Tanit, please explain What is schedule4 which you have included.
If you are travelling outside country of residence after PCC was issued it is fine. However, if you left that country permanently then it will become invalid and new one is needed to be issued once you left it.Sorry, I am confused @BillHyatt. That clears it. Of course, if one leaves a country permanently (thus changing the country of residence), the conditions applicable to country of residence PCC would no longer apply. One would have to get a PCC received after the date of permanent departure. If you are travelling outside country of residence after PCC was issued it is fine. However, if you left that country permanently then it will become invalid and new one is needed to be issued once you left it.
I hope this will clear your doubts.
For your country applicants have suggested to get from each city you lived for more than 6 months. However, it was brought to notice that they don’t issue PCC if you aren’t a permanent residence of that city.@BillHyatt
Can you please help me out with my PCC query. I am applying from Pakistan, here the PCC is issued by the local police of the city and they mention the address along with the dates on the PCC.
I have lived across three different cities in Pakistan for study and work over the span of last ten years and have mentioned these details in the personal history section. I haven't left Pakistan ever. The PCC certificate that i have got is from my hometown which states that i have lived in this city on XYZ address from birth till date without any criminal record.
Is this one PCC certificate enough for my application covering the last ten years ?
The other way is to visit police station in each city where i have lived and ask them to give me certificates for those address with timespan mentioned on them ? This way I will be submitting three certificates from three cities .This path is somehow trouble some and difficult to get.
