POST DOC STUDENT FUNDING?

Question from a friend:

"I am a post doc candidate and received funding from the Canadian government. My funding is about C$50,000 and travel allowances for me and family. I was wondering do I still need to show funding for me and my family?"

I was wondering seniors could help my friend with this question. I could not help much because I dont know whether he needs a work permit rather then SP, but the reason why I post on his behalf here because I have seen expert here with vast experience on funding ..... So if you could kindly help him ???

1. You don't need to show anything other than 'funding'. Just a heads up, if its a funding by the 'Canadian' govt., most likely you won't be eligible for PGWP.
